What Junction is

Junction is a free web directory drawn as a transit map: hundreds of hand-plotted websites across 22 lines, 798 stops in all. It is run the old way — by people who actually look at each site — and it is free to browse and free to join.

How stops are plotted

Every stop is plotted by hand. We give each site a plain name, a direct link and a short line on where it leads, then map it onto the line it belongs to. We re-walk the lines from time to time and close anything that's gone offline.

Adding your own stop

Run a website? Add a stop in under a minute. Add your URL, choose a line, and you are on the map. There is no fee now and there never will be — Junction is free for good.

What we don’t do

No trackers, no pop-ups, no pay-to-rank. Junction is a clean, legible map — the opposite of an algorithmic search box. Just a line you can read and trust.
